Rooms and Room Service

Rooms: The total capacity of the hospital has been increased to 60 beds. The rooms and suites at MMC have been designed, decorated and furnished with international & national furniture. They are of three categories:

  • Single rooms
  • Double rooms
  • Suite rooms

Some of the beds have been computer-programmed to  lower or raise the head of the bed through a remote control, etc.

The hospital management meticulously and closely monitors and checks that all room facilities from air conditioning, TV connections, plumbing and electricity are well maintained and that bedding, laundry and room cleanliness of the rooms are all well taken care of to ensure the highest levels of quality of service to admitted patients and their visitors.

Room Service:

Room service at MMC provides full service           catering with unique selections for breakfast,       lunch, dinner as well as snacks. A list of various  foods can also be ordered through our room services.

In addition the hospital’s main cafeteria (ext 132) located on the second floor of building 2 offers the 3 main meals everyday in addition to tea & snacks all year round. The preparation of all foods and beverages is under the strict care and supervision of administration of the hospital.

Admission Procedure:
What to bring:You may want to bring your own personal toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, shaving items, sanitary supplies, and other personal items.

Medications & medical documents:                If you are currently taking any medications, please bring them in their original container. Bring in any helpful information including any relevant medical reports, lab results, radiological reports and a list of previous surgeries you have had.

What not to bring:
Valuable items such as large sums of money,jewellery, watches, cellular phones, and laptop computer
Bed linens and carpets
Electrical appliances

If you having surgery at MMC:
What to bring:

Personal items: You may want to bring your own personal toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, shaving items, sanitary supplies, and other personal items.
Before the operation:
Your doctor may ask you to have some routine test done several days before surgery.
Note: If you have a cold or a fever a day before admission, please inform your doctor.

On the day of operation:
Have a shower before coming to the hospital.
Remove any make up, hair pins, wigs, nail polish, jewellery and contact lenses.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
Dentures may be removed immediately before surgery.

On the day of operation: 
do not Eat, drink and smoke from midnight the night before surgery (at least 6 hrs. before the operation).

After the operation:
For 24 hours after anaesthesia, you should not drive or travel alone by public transportation.
Call your doctor or the emergency department for any problems that might happen after the operation.
